Happy Thanksgiving! November 26, 2009

Its that time again! It’s Thanksgiving! Not only do us Americans (Im not sure if its an american only holiday or not…) get an excuse to pig out on stuff, but its also a day to give thanks to your friends, family, and God.
To spread the spirit of Thanksgiving, Im going to post the story of the First Thanksgiving.
Feel free to re-post as you like without giving credit to me, as long as you give credit to The First Thanksgiving.
“…In 1621, the Plymouth colonists and Wampanoag Indians shared an autumn harvest feast which is acknowledged today as one of the first
Thanksgiving celebrations in the colonies. This harvest meal has become a symbol of cooperation and interaction between English colonists and Native Americans. Although this feast is considered by many to the very first Thanksgiving celebration, it was actually in keeping with a long tradition of celebrating the harvest and giving thanks for a successful bounty of crops. Native American groups throughout the Americas, including the Pueblo, Cherokee, Creek and many others organized harvest festivals, ceremonial dances, and other celebrations of thanks for centuries before the arrival of Europeans in North America…”
“…Historians have also recorded other ceremonies of thanks among European settlers in North America, including British colonists in Berkeley Plantation, Virginia. At this site near the Charles River in December of 1619, a group of British settlers led by Captain John Woodlief knelt in prayer and pledged “Thanksgiving” to God for their healthy arrival after a long voyage across the Atlantic. This event has been acknowledged by some scholars
and writers as the official first Thanksgiving among European settlers on record. Whether at Plymouth, Berkeley Plantation, or throughout the Americas, celebrations of thanks have held great meaning and importance over time. The legacy of thanks, and particularly of the feast, have survived the centuries as people throughout the United States gather family, friends, and enormous amounts of food for their yearly Thanksgiving meal…”
I hope you enjoyed that little Thanksgiving story.
So by this time, mostly everybody in America is getting ready to eat some turkey, currently eating turkey, or full of turkey.
For Thanksgiving im at my Cousins beach condo in a Florida City about 4 hours away from my house by car. I’ll be here until Saturday night!
Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

My break from posting is over!
I know you missed me. You missed me, didnt you? Yes you did. You better have!
My break was refreshing and greatly needed, I got a great amount of time to work on my school work, as well as come up with new ideas for this site, which means there are about 5 posts scheduled to post every other day starting today. Ill keep adding new posts from there.
In my little break experiment, ive noticed a GIANT change in views. When I was actively posting they were constantly in the 200’s. Now I look at them after not posting for 2 weeks, and im getting around 15-30 per day. Its a sad change, but I knew that would happen.
Notice the sidebar design? Is it better? Easier to read? Im really trying to work on color coordination now.
We almost have 1,000 comments
Were less than 5 away! Who will be the 1,000th commenter? Whoever it is will get a prize
Im just not sure what it will be.
This post was made on the 22nd, posted on the 25th. So if your reading this, right NOW Im with my cousins in (Insert Florida City here
) for Thanksgiving! Were staying at their beach condo and its amazing! Ill be here till saturday, so this site should automatically post until then.

Maximum Ride! November 6, 2009

Maximum Ride is my favorite series ever!
It’s seriously like, the only books I enjoy. And I hate reading so, its a miracle
The book has 5 in its series—

The Angel Experiment

School's Out -- Forever

Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports

The Final Warning

MAX
And the Sixth one isnt in stores yet, but heres the cover …

FANG
Personally, I think James Patterson is getting less creative with the titles, naming them after the characters, but still, awesome book
So heres basically what the whole series is about:
There are six kids: Max(14), Fang(14), Iggy(14), Nudge(11), Gazzy(8), and Angel(6). They were genetically engineered at birth, making them 98% Human, 2% Bird, giving them wings, and other special abilities. In books 1-3, They are Fugitives, running from evil scientists that want to kill them. They battle fierce Wolf/Human creatures called Erasers, and Flyboys, which are Erasers, except they can fly. Max is very Sarcastic, which puts alot of humor into the series.
In books 4-6, they are protectors. They haven’t completely escaped being chased by people who want to run test on them, but they have other problems. They are trying to stop Global warming, and save the world.
The series is very interesting, and I completely recommend it for Boys and Girls of all ages.
SERIES RATING: 5/5
